Malindi Solar Project
Impact: Enabling large-scale renewable integration into the national grid. For the 40MW Malindi Solar PV Project, Enerfrik provided comprehensive engineering consulting services critical to taking the project from concept to construction-ready status. As a local partner to the project developer, Globeleq, our mandate included supporting the meticulous packaging of engineering studies, such as detailed topographical surveys to optimize site layout, hydrological and hydraulic studies to manage flood risks, and geotechnical investigations to ensure foundation stability. By delivering this rigorous technical groundwork, we de-risked the development phase, ensuring the project met stringent investor and regulatory requirements for grid interconnection.

Minigrid Construction – REREC (Multiple Sites)
Safaricom Infrastructure Maintenance
Helios Towers – DRC
Adix Plastics – Nairobi, Kenya
Impact: Stabilized production cycles and increased operational autonomy. By integrating a robust 1.2MW renewable energy solution, we have insulated Adix Plastics from the volatility of grid fluctuations, ensuring consistent power quality for sensitive injection molding machinery. This stability directly translates to fewer interruptions, minimized material waste from abrupt shutdowns, and a more predictable production schedule. Furthermore, the reduced dependency on the national grid empowers the facility with greater control over its energy costs and long-term operational planning, turning energy from a variable risk into a managed strategic asset.

East Africa Datacenters – Nairobi, Kenya
Impact: Enabling data sovereignty and digital growth in East Africa. This flagship project involved the seamless integration of a high-performance solar PV system into the facility's existing 1MW power infrastructure. Enerfrik’s scope focused on ensuring our renewable energy solution interfaced perfectly with the site’s high-availability grid connections, advanced UPS systems, and synchronized backup generators. By contributing to the facility's redundant power mix, we helped reinforce the foundational stability required for critical IT loads, directly supporting the region's expanding digital ecosystem and ensuring data sovereignty for local enterprises.
